Pamukkale Hot Air Balloon Hierapolis View

Things to Do in Pamukkale

Pamukkale's white travertine terraces and the ancient ruins of Hierapolis sit right next to each other, making this one of Turkey's most efficient day trips. This collection ranks what's actually worth your time on site. **Good to know:** You have to walk the terraces barefoot — shoes aren't allowed on the travertines, so bring something to carry them in. The mineral water can stain light-colored clothing — worth knowing before you wade in. Midday tour-bus crowds are real; early morning or just before closing is genuinely quieter. Ranked below: the real experiences worth prioritizing here.
