Best Time to Visit Pamukkale

Pamukkale gets genuinely crowded by mid-morning once tour buses arrive from Antalya and other coastal cities — timing your visit matters more here than at most Turkish attractions.
Early morning (right at opening) or late afternoon before closing are consistently recommended over midday, both for crowd levels and for the terraces' white surface reflecting harsh light less directly.
Seasonally, spring and autumn offer comfortable walking temperatures without summer's heat radiating off the white terrace surface, which can be genuinely intense underfoot by midday in July and August.
The terraces are walked barefoot by rule, to protect the mineral surface — worth knowing before you arrive so you're not caught off guard.
