Getting to & Around Konya

Konya has its own airport with direct domestic flights from Istanbul, taking just over an hour — the fastest way in for most visitors.
Konya is also a stop on Turkey's high-speed rail network, connected to Ankara and onward toward Istanbul — a genuinely comfortable overland option if flying isn't preferred.
The city center, including the Mevlana Museum and old town, is walkable and compact, so a car isn't necessary for a city-focused visit.
Konya is often visited as part of a broader central Anatolia route alongside Cappadocia, given the two regions' relative proximity by car or bus.
