The park also has an amphitheater used for cultural events and concerts, flower gardens, and walking paths, and sits within easy walking distance of the Mevlana Museum, Karatay Madrasa, and Ince Minare Madrasa.

Konya is a genuinely different side of Turkey — conservative, historically significant as the home of the Sufi mystic Rumi, and far less internationally-oriented than the coastal cities. This collection ranks what's worth seeing. **Good to know:** Konya is noticeably more conservative than the coastal cities — modest dress is genuinely appreciated, not just at the Mevlana Museum.
