Relocating to Turkey From Nigeria

What Nigerian citizens need to know about entering Turkey — the sticker visa process, since e-Visa isn't currently available for Nigerian passports.

Nigerian passport holders are not currently eligible for Turkey's e-Visa system — a sticker visa applied for in person at the Turkish Embassy in Abuja (or an authorized visa application center) is required instead. Processing typically runs 15-21 working days, with published fees around $250 for a single entry.

Note: visa eligibility rules do change, and sources vary on some details — confirm current requirements directly with the Turkish Embassy in Abuja or an authorized visa center before making any travel plans, rather than relying on this or any other secondhand guide.

Once you're in Turkey on a valid visa, the residence permit process (for longer stays) and work permit process (for employment) work the same way as for any other nationality — see our other relocation guides for those details.
